Drift Alternative: What to Use Now Drift Has Gone
Short answer: if you are looking for a Drift alternative, you are probably looking because Drift is no longer really available. Salesloft acquired it in 2024, folded it into their platform, and drift.com now redirects to a Salesloft page which states that they have “transitioned from Drift to partner with 1Mind”. There is no published pricing and no self-serve signup.
So the question is not really “what is like Drift”. It is “what should I move to”. That depends on what you were using Drift for.
Pricing checked 15 August 2026. All figures are taken from each provider’s own published pricing page on that date and are quoted in the currency they publish in. Prices change — check the source before making a decision.
What actually happened to Drift
We checked this directly rather than relying on secondhand reports. As of 15 August 2026:
- drift.com redirects to salesloft.com/platform/drift
- That page presents chat as a module within Salesloft, not a standalone product
- It states Salesloft has transitioned from Drift to partner with 1Mind
- There is no published pricing — the only route is “Talk to Sales”
- There is no free trial or self-serve signup on the page
If you are an existing Drift customer, the practical consequences are the ones worth planning around: no self-serve path, a sales conversation before you can evaluate anything, and a product direction set by a sales engagement platform rather than a conversational marketing one.
What were you using Drift for?
Drift did two quite different jobs and the right replacement depends on which one you cared about.
| If you used Drift for… | What you actually need | Consider |
|---|---|---|
| Answering visitor questions on your site so people did not have to email | An AI agent trained on your own content | Holp |
| Booking sales meetings from chat, routing to reps, ABM playbooks | Sales engagement tooling | Salesloft, or a dedicated conversational marketing tool |
| Live chat staffed by humans | A live chat product with an agent inbox | Intercom, Zendesk |
| Enterprise ticketing alongside chat | A full helpdesk | Zendesk, Intercom |
Holp is a straightforward fit for the first row and a poor fit for the others. We are not a sales engagement platform and have no ambition to become one.
Holp as a Drift alternative
| Holp | Drift (via Salesloft) | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | £25/month | Not published — contact sales |
| Self-serve signup | Yes | No |
| Free trial | 30 days, no card | Not offered on the page |
| Contract | Monthly, cancel anytime | Enterprise sales process |
| Setup time | An afternoon | Implementation project |
| Company and hosting | UK company, UK-hosted | US, part of Salesloft |
| Product status | Actively developed | Transitioned to a 1Mind partnership |
| Best for | Answering website questions | Sales engagement at enterprise scale |
What Holp does
It reads your website and answers visitors’ questions from your own content — opening times, pricing, delivery, eligibility, how to book. When it cannot answer, it says so and offers a human, capturing their details so someone can follow up. Every conversation is recorded, and every question it could not answer is flagged so you can fix it.
Unlimited team members on every plan. One snippet on your site. No implementation project.
What Holp does not do
No meeting booking from chat. No ABM playbooks or account routing. No shared agent inbox or ticketing. No phone. If those were the reasons you bought Drift, Holp is the wrong replacement and you should look at Salesloft or a dedicated conversational marketing tool instead.
Which should you choose?
Move to Holp if Drift was mainly answering repetitive visitor questions, you want a price you can see without a sales call, you want to be live this week rather than this quarter, and you would rather not sign an annual contract to find out whether it works.
Stay with Salesloft if your Drift usage was genuinely sales engagement — routing, sequences, pipeline — and the wider platform is where your team already works.
Do not choose Holp if you need meeting booking, lead routing to reps, a shared agent inbox or ticketing. We do not do those things.
Before you migrate, check what your site can already answer
Whatever you replace Drift with, the limiting factor is the same: whether the answers exist on your website in the first place. Our free Site Answerability Check reads your pages and reports which of the questions visitors typically ask are answered and which are not. About a minute, no account needed.
If it comes back with gaps, that is worth fixing before you migrate, not after.
Frequently asked questions
Is Drift still available in 2026?
Not as a standalone product. drift.com redirects to Salesloft, where chat is presented as a module and the page states Salesloft has transitioned from Drift to partner with 1Mind. Checked 15 August 2026.
How much does Drift cost now?
There is no published price. The Salesloft page offers only a “Talk to Sales” route, with no self-serve signup or free trial listed.
What is the closest thing to Drift for a small business?
For the answering side of what Drift did, an AI agent trained on your own content — which is what Holp is. For the sales engagement side, there is no small-business equivalent; those tools are priced for sales teams.
Can I export my Drift conversation history?
That is a question for Salesloft support, and worth asking before you cancel rather than after. Whatever you move to, ask the same question of the new supplier on day one.
Does Holp require a contract?
No. Monthly billing, cancel any time, no notice period. There is a 30-day free trial and no card needed to start.
